  • Jervis Bay Whale Watching

  • Winter brings the humpback whales, their acrobatic antics an awe-inspiring thrill to watch. They make their passage up the east coast to the warmer waters of Queensland and Jervis Bay is a regular haunt on the northward journey. Late July to August see the return of the whales and their calf’s as they call into Jervis bay to rest and feed on the Southern journey home.
Our Area - Jervis Bay - The Shoalhaven NSW
Sheltered beaches and a range of water sports make this a blue water paradise. Jervis Bay is one of only four marine parks located within NSW and is ringed by national parks. Located 179 km south of Sydney, with population 3,500 Jervis Bay is surrounded by sea side towns and is a favourite holiday destination.
It is the natural beauty of the area that seduces.   Jervis Bay measures about 15 km from north to south and about 10 km across. The main town is Vincentia home to the major shopping centre for the area and 7km of white sandy beaches.
At its southern end, Jervis Bay is enclosed by Booderee National Park, a pristine coastal wilderness. From Wreck Bay village on Summercloud Bay in the park’s south, a walking trail circles the peninsula to St Georges Head, passing a succession of quiet beaches, cliffs and forests.
The bay’s sparkling waters, the underwater topography of arches, caves and rock stacks, and a marine population that includes gropers, wrasses, sharks, cuttlefish and sea dragons make this one of the finest dive sites in the State.
